We offer a free version, as well as a commercially licensed version of J2ME GUI.
The free version is released for personal use, freeware distributions, and evaluation
purposes only and will display a splash screen for 5 seconds when starting up an
application built with J2ME GUI. Other than the splash screen, it has no feature
limitations or time trial period. You may not release a product using the free version
of J2ME GUI if you are financially gaining from it.
The commercially licensed version is sold on a subscription basis which includes
updates and new releases of J2ME GUI for 1 year. All updates received during the
subscription period can be kept without having to renew your subscription and will
not expire, so you do not need to renew your product.
A license is required for each developer for which a small fee is charged per additional
license purchased. Click here for details on cost per
license. Of course, unlike the free version, applications will start up instantly
with no splash screen.
Existing customers can renew their subscriptions at a 50% discount. Please note
that if you do not renew your product at the end of the subscription period and
wish to do so at a later stage, you would not receive the renewal discount. To renew
your subscription, go to the Subscribers section and use the renewal button. This
will extend your subscription with 365 days, adding to the existing expiry date,
so you do not have to wait until the product is expired before renewing.
Your license key must be entered at design time in order to use the library. See
documentation for details.
